Troy Lakey - Chief Operating Officer

After providing operational and developmental leadership to various ventures in other industries, Troy joined TaxProMarketer in its early beginnings (BuildaHerd Marketing at the time) in October 2007, and aided the business' transition from Charlottesville, VA to Overland Park, KS.

Troy brings his training and experience in the fields of law, ministry, and higher education (among others) to bear in sometimes surprising ways in his role as TPM's Chief Operating Officer (and as Nate's all-around "right hand man" for all things TaxProMarketer).

Having been with the business since nearly the very beginning, Troy has been involved in personally overseeing the operations and development of nearly every department in TPM, as well as assisting Nate in the creation of most of them.

Troy oversees TPM's team of staff, and is responsible for the ongoing running and development of all the business' services and operations, along with providing creative input into the vision and direction of the company.

Despite his experience in a variety of disciplines, Troy has found particular satisfaction in providing professional service businesses across the nation and beyond with marketing which actually works, and in running the operations himself for a very efficient service business.

When his mind and energies do occasionally turn (with effort) from improving efficiencies and results for TaxProMarketer and its clients and staff, he deeply enjoys spending time with his wife of over a decade, Carrie, and his two very young sons, Sylas and Niam.  He also likes books, music, movies, sports, art, humor, prayer, strong black coffee, and the great outdoors, among other things, and not necessarily in that order.
